Agent of the Iron Throne seems tailor-made for Aristocrats-style sacrifice decks, while Cultist of the Absolute is an awesome way to really give your commander a big boost if you happen to have sacrificial fodder around but not necessarily Aristocrats-style
For this to be worth doing there would need to be good, powerful and synergic ascend card of which there don't seem to be
