That said, most folks are perfectly fine with proxy cards for kitchen table magic or personal use

Maybe now, I would wait for lower conditioned raw cards or just keep the graded card for future trades to lower condition (if I am desperate to buy the graded card)

The other push for commander is that its often seen as a place where kitchen table players get to play what they want, instead of what a format decides is necessary
