It is better to have a clunkier removal spell that works on top end and bottom end stuff than an efficient spell that only hits the big stuff
There's the odd bit of flair in type- or Pokmon-specific benefits to the gym leader cards, with one for each of the original Indigo League's eight leaders from Pokmon Red, Blue, and Yellow - Koga, for instance, lets you pick up an active Weezing card and its pre-evolution Koffing and put them back in your hand, making it a handy stalling or recycling tactic
