It takes out most shrimpy attackers and lets you filter through your next draws at the same time, providing precious library manipulation in an era where we dont even have a strictly worse Ponder in Standard

You do need creature support for the card but this isn't an issue in green
Besides the damage this move also makes your opponent remove all special energy cards attached to their active Pokemon
If another effect (or effects) modifies how much damage your creature with a +1/+1 counter on it would dealby preventing some of it, for examplethe player being dealt damage or the controller of the permanent being dealt damage chooses the order in which any such effects (including Uncivil Unrest's) apply
