It doesn't rock a lot of the +1/+1 counter addition and manipulation, which tend to be in the Selesnya colors

Its a perfect nice guy counterspell, giving both you and the targeted player some fresh cards to make up for the lost spell

The amount of mana it generates, combined with being a win condition on its own, is just massive for a Modern card

It's not as good for go-wide strategies as other protection spells like Divine Resilience (an uncommon from this same set!) will be a better contender there, but go-tall strategies will love this
