Watching this community consistently grow and become more diverse tells us that we are getting it just right with Disney fans who are completely charmed by the art and stories, TCG die-hards who appreciate the strategic gameplay, and even new players who have tried their very first TCG and now play every weekend. For the first time since the games launch, players or Illumineers will be able to have their character glimmers visit locations from popular Disney stories, such as Motonui from Disneys Moana or the Jolly Roger from Disneys Peter Pan. Locations are a new card type that opens up new strategies some give bonuses when characters visit them, while others provide benefits just by being in play
After playing with both decks and trying out these cards in some others, I can tell theres a few standouts here
To be fair, Medusa has plenty of targets for her ability, while there are definitely less that Minnie can hit
There are only 12 Legendary cards in The First Chapter, two for each ink color
In the card game, these Disney characters are called to the player's side as "glimmers" of themselves, which masterfully explains away instances where there may be four of Mickey Mouse on the table
Despite a lack of competitive play and the card being eclipsed in power, the promo version has managed to hold pretty consistent value
