If you were hoping for spells and you drew them, do you pitch the less desirable lands to smooth out your draw
Each equipment card with Job Select adds a creature type to the equipped creature, like Cleric for White Mages Staff, or Wizard for Black Mages Rod, etc
Together, these payoffs create an engine that rewards you for leaning into the theme and never taking your foot off the gas
