Boy, its a good Commander card though
And since it's a Colorless-type Pokmon, it's easy to slot into pretty much any deck
Buying in bulk, like grabbing a whole booster box or even a case, can sometimes tilt the odds in your favor
Though its origins remain a bit of a mystery, this promo card is slightly longer in size than the normal Pokmon cards, and the print is also closer in size to what is used on traditional Japanese phone cards
While it has frequently been maindecked, its also been a popular sideboard card, perfect for grinding out attrition-based post-sideboard games, such as the Kithkin deck Cedric Phillips piloted to a top 8 finish in PT Kyoto 2009: Creatures (20) Planeswalkers (4) Lands (25) Spells (11) Sideboard Nowadays, the idea of aggro decks slowing down and going bigger after sideboarding is commonplace, but Cedrics use of it here was especially futuristic for that time period
That year my favorite card I pulled was Venusaur
