Ive always felt like Legendaries should look special, and over the last few sets theyve started to get some flair with details in the art that overlap the border here, or an embossed finish on the characters there

Both Amethyst/Emerald and Emerald/Steel have viable Discard decks that become even more potent with fewer Sapphire decks (with less draw power) standing in their way, so its reasonable to assume that Emerald Discard decks will reenter the meta in a big way

So the fundamentals are strong, and more importantly they're fun
