We did learn in Amonkhet that the colors of a planeswalker doesnt necessarily limit what they can do, because Nicol Bolas doesnt seem to have any limitations on colors of spells

Later, when you are cascading off a massive spell, hitting one of those can feel pretty underwhelming

Moira and Teshar Moira and Teshar gives you another commander that pulls permanents from the graveyard, albeit temporarily unless you get tricky

Cards would have to be very strategically released to help enhance existing strategies rather than what is typically done where half-fleshed out strategies are released into the game with little follow through on supporting mechanics
