There's also always the risk that one of their creatures will be the wrong color, or it will fly, or something similar will go wrong, and the creatures that can't attack are still around to prevent you from winning the game in the meantime
Getting these characters in play makes it difficult for opponents without the right cards to get rid of them, making it possible to rack up some lore without interruption

If I were to upgrade these decks with pulls from booster packs, then I would shave some of these weaker cards, especially ones that cannot be turned into ink, and add more five-drops, six-drops and seven-drops
