Bite Down on Crime is better than normal too, as has great creatures and few (if any) other cards to leverage its graveyard
Backdraft HellkiteBackdraft Hellkite is a more fragile version of Past in FlamesPast in Flames, but the turn it attacks (which will presumably be the turn after you cast it) it will allow you to use all of the mana at your disposal
Its effectively a cheap creature that grows over the course of the game, one that remains relevantif not dominantso long as you can follow it up with a few noncreature spells and card draw

I think this card sums up a lot of the FINAL FANTASY XVI experience from Clive's perspective very well
