If you try to go to four colors, you need more different fetchable lands, which means you get fewer fetchlands, so more of your lands only offer access to one or two colors instead of three or four colors, and you cant make the numbers work

I often include four of these in any three-color decks

Sentry Bot is one of them, and will allow you to potentially supercharge your batteries in response to an attack

Its not quite Eternal Witness since it can only grab permanents, but in Limited thats not much of an issue
