Its all a lot of fun most of the time, but its much easier to get into if you can get your hands on the staples
The land card could either be a snow-covered basic land or snow-covered dual land
One mana for a counter and Haste and not being able to be blocked by a few creatures just wouldnt be worth a whole card, but I think with Venture attached you suddenly have a card that will feel sort of like Guiding Voice from Strixhaven
It can be a hard-to-stop combo with Pariah, as youre routing the damage youd take to another creature, or with cards that prevent counters from being put on permanents
Apart from the issue of some cards not having playable substitutes, the other reason I tend to dislike this advice is that part of what makes formats like Commander fun is the diversity that they offer, and this diversity is built, in part, on players being able to access and play with weird, old, nostalgic cards that don't really see play in other formats
I think that theres plenty to be interested in, so I can hardly wait to see these cards in action
