An abundance of removal spells in Constructed, and especially bounce out of the control decks, kept it down in Standard, but probably more than they should have
It draws you cards and scales with the game (the more mana you have, the more cards it can draw and the larger the creature is)
The great thing about Standard having more cards that like artifacts is that it fits well with the historic mechanic from Dominaria
I dont think Weaponcraft Enthusiast is actually a good card, but if Im going down the Cryptolith Rite road, both it and Channeler Initiate are making my deck, and sacrificing the 0/1 main body to -1/-1 counters is fine
