The most recent big tournament was the Champions League in Kyoto with 1489 participants and Reshiram & Charizard GX not only took first place (piloted by Ryoya Kanagawa) but comprised 25 of the top 64 decks
he's essentially built a system that ensures that he can never be counted out of a match
The set has plenty of callbacks, and throwbacks, making it a fun time to get to, but it thankfully isnt a call back to the earliest days of Magics life as a limited format
Illustrated by Hiromichi Sugiyama, the artwork gives Volcanion the full treatment it deserves as a Mythical Fire and Water-type Pokemon that has rarely gotten this kind of spotlight in the TCG
They get uncastable giant creatures out of our hand and into the graveyard, they refill our hand with fresh gas to play, and of course, they trigger Sefris (so long as we discard at least one creature)
Other than that, the sorting pretty much goes the Pokemon types (Grass, Water, Fire, etc) in alphabetical order and then in alphabetical order based on the Pokemon's name within their type
