The art in the first printing of that card is modeled after the player, and since Yuta Takahashi won Worlds back during the 2020-2021 season, his card will be appearing in early 2023

This is one of my favorite pieces, too

Knowing Up the Beanstalk exists and is played regularly could have made for difficult choices when designing new cards, so WotC pulled the plug and banned it before it could inadvertently do some damage

Might need to work a bit harder in mono-white compared to some color pairs, but I think it is worth trying

I imagine someone who hasnt already sacrificed their Marit Lage's Slumber to get a Marit Lage might think twice if they saw a Colossal Whale coming their way

Understandably, this is frustrating for long-term collectors, who are watching The Pokemon Company struggle with this increased demand
