Hes a very interesting design, in that he supports a go wide strategy (putting lots of small creatures onto the board), which leads into a go tall strategy (get one enormous creature)

And seeing as you can't put the counters on anything you control, you'll always be benefitting too, which is the main thing

This means you can sacrifice creatures on your opponent's turn to draw a card if you wish to do so
