Today, we will be looking at the next three cards in this series, awarded in 2018 for the achievements of 2017

At the beginning of your precombat main phase, you may discard a card

North America wouldnt see Pokmon Red and Blue, the first installments in the series, until September 1998, with the trading cards coming stateside shortly thereafter

Each blood token is an artifact that you can pay one mana, discard a card, tap and then sacrifice the token, all to draw a card

(Note: while the goal is to play the card in Standard, there are a couple of cards that might be way more fun in Modern, so there's a small possibility the format could change if the Standard build is boring)

Youll note that this is also a Basic Pokemon, making it much more attractive to use in-game than the usual Stage 2 Venusaur cards, even if its stats and attacks arent anything special in the current meta
