For example, if a player sacrifices a 3/3 creature to cast Fling, and you copy it, the copy of Fling will also deal 3 damage to its target

There are a few removals like Shriekmaw or Karn Liberated, but for the most part they are shut down quite ably

Combo Dragons #3 While not necessarily a game-ending combo, Wrathful Red Dragon and red damage-based mass creature removal can potentially generate enough damage you can fling at your opponents life totals to end games with, or at least take down the archenemy

Hitting every opponent at once makes it easy to grind down the entire Commander pod over a few turns of creature sacrifice, and can even be used in combination with cards like Gravecrawler and Phyrexian Altar for an instant combo win

In those lists it does suffer more heavily from being a card you rarely want to draw in the late game
