While Blood tokens are a good way to draw through our deck, they dont actually produce card advantage
It combos off on its own with a Blood Artist, Butcher Ghoul, and a card that makes a token when a creature dies, including Nest of Scarabs, Pawn of Ulamog, and Sifter of Skulls
Revisiting the sets released reminded me of what a nightmare of uncertainty and desperation that year was, from playing Commander masked in someones backyard to placing online orders for pickup at stores who would shutter their doors midway through the year, never to reopen

Its nothing game-breaking, of course, but this card would have been plenty strong if it transformed into a regular ole Plains, so this makes it even better
