White weenie decks don't really have a use for all that extra mana should they fail to Armageddon, so trading two mana for one more point of damage each turn stands as a pretty fair bargain

The flexibility of this card is unmatched by previous iterations of this effect, and that's why I believe it'll be a cornerstone of Blue-based Control decks until it leaves the format
Protective Embrace can essentially make your other cards in play impervious to songs or actions
Cards like Living End, which cost nothing but are hard to cast normally, can take over a game in an instant, but this one-mana instant can stop that with ease
Helper cards are especially useful at Limited events, prereleases, or casual tables where someone asks, "Wait, what does this emblem/token/dungeon do again?" for the sixth time during a game
