Evoke is an economical option if you want to access the card's enters abilities (and sometimes abilities that trigger when it dies) ahead of schedule
Kefnet oversees the second phase, where initiates must use their wits and knowledge of the arcane to decipher a maze of secrets and passageways to find the exit
The second ability represented by the "partner with [name]" keyword modifies the rules for deck construction in the Commander variant and has no function outside of that variant
This sounds a lot more confusing than it actually is but as far as the starter decks go, the Luffy deck (from The Quest Begins) is by far the best deck to choose from if you can get your hands on it
If you're not concerned about competitive players calling a judge every time your Liliana of the Veil hits the table - simply because she is now a squid monster with robot hands destroying a Smurf village- then we won't limit ourselves with rules that won't apply
