What I discovered in that set is that theres a real power to having an all-in-one Pokemon TCG set thats almost built like a board game

You and permanents you control gain hexproof from blue and from black until end of turn. Being able to stop your spells being countered and also stop them dying to target removal is incredible, and being able to draw a card on top of that is amazing

Regardless of the deck, this surfing, electrifying Pokmon punishes cards that collect a lot of Energy (particularly EX cards)
