This is my second ever EDH deck

Technically there were cards with cumulative upkeep in Modern because of Coldsnap , but most of the good ones are looking for the number of age counters for some beneficial effect, making the interaction less valuable

While there are other very good mass buff effects out there, the Behemoths ability to buff itself and attack right away, combined with how easy it is to tutor up and/or cheat into play still makes it your best option when looking for this kind of effect
