Pile On plays in the same space with convoke giving you what amounts to a free spell, roughly speaking

Players gain lore by questing, which is done by exerting (tapping) characters and adding their lore value (the diamonds on the bottom right side) to their score

If you cast a spell "without paying its mana cost," you can't choose to cast it for any alternative costs

But all of the above could lead to a healthy dose of hubris
