Outside of Toshiro, I still think this card is good, and I think most of the Golgari playable Crime spells are especially good, given Golgaris access to reanimator and propensity for running creatures that commit crimes as part of the 99 anyways

The original deck was very much lacking in evasive effects

From another direction, Mind Rot reduces the cards in your opponents hand to give you card advantage, yet has nothing to do with card draw

Whereas if you already had a randomized deck and you just looked at the top card, you would need to shuffle less before youd forget everything you knew about the deck

If we could exert a pressure on the Magic design teams to focus a little more on cards that make Magic a better game and reduce the value ascribed to such effects that aid that end then the whole Magic experience could be seamlessly enhanced for both casual and professional play
