You can tell the top-down design here, where someone asked: If I design a card to be a moat, what would it look like? It might not be the most powerful, especially when decks dont necessarily need to attack to win, but its still cool and combines well with cards that enable flying
Set Mechanics Usually, MTG master sets have a bunch of different mechanics, and VMA is no exception
You dont have to stick to this build specifically, the chairs come before anything else
Lat-Nam's Legacy shows a wizard of some sort looking through a library of scrolls for the ancient wisdoms of Lat-Nam (represented as a drawing card effect) but most fun is the small squad of blue tiny men that's scuttling around the library helping her move scrolls
these tend to be permanents that give you more consistency over several turns
Verdict: Skip it Much like goad decks, the mill and steal strategy has a serious late-game problem, being that you lose what you stole from a player when that player dies (a players cards leave the game when they lose)
