Preordain is generally the best in most situations, though Ponder becomes stronger if you have access to fetch lands to shuffle away unwanted cards, especially if only part of the selection is useful
The game holds a special place in my heart, but I also think its a gap in the market that is sorely overlooked at the moment
If a creature enters as a copy of or becomes a copy of a creature whose blitz cost was paid, the copy won't have haste, won't be sacrificed, and its controller won't draw a card when it dies
Otherwise, if your opponent is not casting noncreature spells this card is a 3 drop 2/2 with haste that can become a 3/3.
