Lance Lance is a member of the Elite Four in the first generation of Pokemon Games (and has appeared in others too!), including the second generation Gold and Silver, so he fits right in with the Lugia theme of Silver Tempest

Ting-Lu ex also has an ability, which is called Cursed Land, and it states that as long as Ting-Lu ex is in the active spot, opposing Pokemon in play that has any damage counters have no abilities (other than ex Pokemon)
