You can obviously ramp it out before turn 7, but it doesnt matter which turn you play a 7-mana card that does nothing if an opponent blows it apart with a single removal spell
On the other hand, a card like Obliterate certainly meets my criteria for being considered a board wipe because it does more than just remove lands to deny your opponents mana
Together with your team, youll challenge opposing Illumineers as you race for a story star
I dont want this blowing up lands when reanimation tricks have this attacking super early, but I also dont like missing with such a trigger
The selling point of an effect like this is definitely the ceiling, and here the ceiling is a pre-combat trump card which produces lethal from far beyond the range your opponent expects for 1B
I wasn't able to track down a specific issue where this panel appears (please let me know in the comments if you do!) but there's a good chance it's from Maximum Carnage, a big storyline that spanned through all the ongoing Spider-Man comics in 1993, and saw Carnage do what he does best, spread death and havoc, this time with a makeshift "family" of superpowered maniacs
