Its great to do if your opponents attacking creature has lifelink or some other effect that happens when it deals damage to a creature since you can sacrifice your blocker before damage and the effect wont happen

Revolt- Destroy that creature if it has converted mana cost 4 or less instead if a permanent you controlled left the battlefield this turn

As a newer player, I think that I mostly just liked looking at other peoples decks, and almost as the art implies, Thought Erasure was a good window into that

Hornet Queen gets a bit more love these days as it is more of a pure 7 drop and not the ideally 8 drop that Avenger is

This nightmare beasts not flashy, but I dont mind spending 3 mana here
