This was addressed in the OCG with the erratum issued in Dimension Box Limited Edition , but persisted for several more years in the TCG until the same erratum was issued in Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box

Its a powerful card, at least in the decks that can take advantage of it

This red sorcery tends to be most efficient against aggro decks that flood the board with cheap creatures, and has been a sideboard staple in Constructed metas featuring popular go-wide decks
Unless Im wrong, this is used to deter people because of a psychological effect, but couldnt this simply be forgotten as more and more people get legitimate products from non wholesale scalpers, allowing scammers to more than likely blend into this still occuring wave
