Clean removal, protection effects, taxes, and board wipes are where the color really shines
Final Fantasy summons were clearly made to work with Yuna, Grand Summoner, and you can see the difference spelled out: Yuna places +1/+1 counters on creatures as they enter, but when they die she just cares about any type of counters
Red decks need their removal to be able to go directly to the face, which is the one thing you cannot Terminate, and while being cheap is nice, the creatures you need Terminate for don't come out fast enough to reward you much for it being so cheap
The process of acquiring the sword is considered one of the worst side quests in the series, but the raw power it provides does balance it out somewhat
With pick-two, no precons, and only 198 cards, this set is definitely odd, but its still a Universes Beyond release
