Bigg's A super original example ofAlthough I can't see a label or stencil marking, everything about this barrister's bookcase says it's a very early Globe Wernicke, circa 1900 (apparently, the earliest models didn't have a label anyway). Looking through early Globe Wernicke catalogues, this piece shows the same characteristics as the early 'Standard' style range, which was originally the only style the company produced: Solid oak throughout (not veneer). The distinctive curved ogee
